OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys -- V-Day Challenge Day #8

I was actually going to post this yesterday but I passed out early...  so sorry about that, so I'm making up for it today!

Day 8 of Stephanie's Valentine's Day Challenge calls for a mani inspired by a love song.  I've thought long and hard about this one since there are so many!!  I finally came up with one.

If you've read my Blog Award answers you know that I absolutely love Depeche Mode.  The lyrics to their songs are usually pretty controversial but there is one that I would definitely consider a love song.  The name of it is "Somebody", and it's pretty old, released in 1984.  You can check it out here and here are the lyrics in case you're too lazy and don't want to listen to it (but you really should check it out, it's such a beautiful song!!).  I think this text applies to all of us!!

I want somebody to share, share the rest of my life
Share my innermost thoughts, know my intimate details
Someone who'll stand by my side and give me support
And in return she'll get my support

She will listen to me when I want to speak
About the world we live in and life in general

Though my views may be wrong, they may even be perverted
She'll hear me out, and won't easily be converted
To my way of thinking in fact she'll often disagree
But at the end of it all she will understand me

I want somebody who cares for me passionately
With every thought and with every breath
Someone who'll help me see things in a different light
All the things I detest I will almost like

I don't want to be tied to anyone's strings
I'm carefully trying to steer clear of those things
But when I'm asleep I want somebody
Who will put their arms around me, kiss me tenderly

Though things like this make me sick
In a case like this I'll get away with it

Another thing you need to know about Depeche Mode is their iconic rose that first appeared on their "Violator" album.  Here it is:

So what does one have to do with the other, you say.  Well, I would love to do something more exciting but since I work with patients in the hospital and have to look somewhat professional I can't go too crazy with my nails..  So I decided to paint my nails dark brown (since black wouldn't be "appropriate, blah) and stamp a Depeche Mode look-alike rose on my accent nail.  I used OPI's Suzi Loves Cowboys (hey it has 'love' word in it!!) and stamped it with Revlon's Red Rocks using a faux-nad plate.  You can't see the rose on my nails that well but it's a little more prominent in real life.  Red Rocks is red with a little gold shimmer in it, and glossy top coat brought the rose to life!

What is your favorite love song??
