Essie "She's Picture Perfect"

Now, this color is more like it.  I didn't let my DH pick anything tonight!!  I decided to wear something spring-y that looked gorgeous in the bottle, and as it turns out, on the nail as well!!
Ladies and girls, may I present Essie's She's Picture Perfect!!

The polish is just like its name states, picture perfect!!  It's a dusty lilac with pink iridescence, it looks like a very very tiny pink shimmer.  It is sooooo beautiful!!!  Perfect for the spring!
However...  just as beautiful this polish looks, it is a nightmare to apply!!!  aaargh!!  It took 3 patchy, dragging and foul-language coats to achieve full opacity!  It went over China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat, so maybe that had something to do with it.  Next time (and there will be a next time because it IS gorgeous!  Plus I'm stubborn, and some damn nail polish is not going to win this game!!) I'll try a different base and see how many different curse words I will utter then... (hopefully none!)
I topped the whole thing with Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat.

Check this beauty out:

Stupid thing bubbled on me too as you can see on my pinky finger.

Oh, and as far as nail art goes... I have this bad habit where I start painting my nails at the very last minute after I workout, shower, have dinner...  by that time it's well after 9pm, and by the time I'm done with redoing my mani, snapping pics and writing this, it is already after 10pm which is my time to hit the hay...  I would love to stamp more so I will do my best to start painting my nails earlier!

If you'd like to make this beauty yours, it is part of the newest Essie collection, the 2012 Resort Collection.

So what do you think of this one?  Have it?  Want it?  Need it?  Hate it? (gasp!!) =))
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

  2. Purples and lilacs are my favourite shades, and yet I don't wear them on my nails... I don't know why!
If I were to wear a purple ;) it would be a dusty lilac like this one :)
I am a night owl painter too... And then I wake up before my kids to take photos before child-raising duties make the polish chip. Lol!
