Spring at last!! Orly Live Wire

Yesterday was the first time I actually looked around me after I got back from my vacation.  It's almost unbelievable; when I left a week ago the trees were still bare, I come back and everything is green and full of life!!  Dogwoods are blooming, birds are singing...  spring is definitely upon us!!  And I love it!!!

For the first day of spring I chose Orly Live Wire.  I've never worn a yellow shade before, and I quite like it!  Because it is pretty sheer I layered it over China Glaze White on White.  I did two coats of White on White (first coat was a little uneven, but it leveled out with second coat), and I followed with 3 coats of Live Wire.  Two coats seemed plenty, but I applied a third one to intensify the color even more.

Live Wire is a bright yellow with slightly darker yellow shimmer to it.  It's pretty bright, almost bordering on neon, so I hope my patients don't go blind today when I approach them!!  LOL  It reminds of sunshine rays, and who doesn't love a happy, sunny day??? =))
Formula on this was pretty good.  I covered the whole thing with Seche Vite topcoat.

so of course I'm such a klutz that I bumped my F-U finger before it was dry... and since there was 4 coats of nail polish all together, it was all still soft and gooey, so therefore a dent in my brand new mani... gah!

Live Wire is part of Orly's High Voltage collection released back in summer of 2008, and it is still widely available at multiple online retailers.

Happy Spring everyone!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

And I didn't mean to get too much tan.. you know, the whole cancer and wrinkle thing... but Costarican sun is just unbelievable, no SPF is high enough!!!

You are so brave to sport a yellow and yet it looks divine!!!!! Maybe not work appropriate but the shimmer is stunning!!!!
I have Chanel's mimosa which is a MISERY to apply... Don't know if I would wear it on its own again but with stamping= big yes.
Yellows can surely boost a mood eh!? Lovely!!!
