Hello girlies!!
Today I'm honored to have Marta of ChitChat Nails make an appearance on my little nubbins corner!! Marta was one of the first people I met on the blogosphere and really really helped me out with the ins and outs of the blog and Twitter. She also introduced me to the world of stamping!! Welcome on my blog dear friend!! I know it is impossible, but if for any reason you don't know who Marta is you must go check out her blog NOW!!

Hello Lovely Ladies!!!!
I am so flattered to be here with you, and honoured
that Gosia would ask me to Guest Post. I have to say that I have been a fan of
Gosia's blog since she started it, and I truly like her posts, color choices and
the entertaining way she writes and presents the honest information in her
blog. I hope you like my post just as much :D
In all this excitement I
have forgotten to introduce myself ;)
I'm Marta and I run a little Canadian
nailart blog called ChitChat Nails. I love anything to do with nailpolish and
nailart, but nail stamping is my favourite (yes, in Canada we spell "favorite"
with an "ou"... it's the Canuck way ;)). Since I'm super fond of stamping...
that is what I have chosen to do for today's Guest Post :D
In the last
little while I have spotted the feather nails trend (where people adhere real
feathers to their nails). Now, if you already know me you will have noted that
I have three little children... so keeping feathers freshly pressed into my
manicures doesn't seem like a very durable option. So I pondered and pondered
some more and thought to myself: "self, if you can't use real feathers... why
not stamp the feathers onto your nail!" ;) The rest is history!
To achieve this look I painted all of my nails with two
coats of OPI Skull and Glossbones. I then used Shany plate SH24 and Revlon
Espresso to stamp on the feathers. I used a dotting tool and added a few dots
with China Glaze Riveting to give the look a little bit more dimension. One
coat of Seche Vite completes the look.
I hope you like my stamped take on
the feather nails trend :D
THANK YOU FOR READING!

Aah, these are some beautiful nails... Thank you so much Marta for being a host today!!! =))

I am full of shame to admit that I haven't known Marta before, but I am going to check her blog right after posting my comment here!
ReplyDeleteThis feather take is simply GORGEOUS!!! I love it!!!
Until this day I only tried stamping once, and I decided to try it again last night but I found out that my stamper is gone :-(
The cats must have taken it and rolled it somewhere and I will have to buy a new one now... But this post definitely gave me the motivation to do so!!!
So thanks so much, both Marta and Gosia!!!
Hi JinJit,
DeleteYou are so sweet in your comment :D
Hurry and get a new stamper. Stamping is definitely a learning curve... but once you find a thick enough polish to stamp with, after a few tries, it is sooo fun!!!
Glad you liked this manicure :D
I agree, this feather stamping is AWESOME!!! Good luck in stamping, and DON'T GIVE UP!!! God only knows how many times I've screwed up but I'm still trying!!
