Venturing out: Cirque "Vaudeville"

Hi lovelies!!

Happy hump-day!!
I get myself so wrapped up in all the days I've dedicated to specific challenges or polishes (Monday Blues, Tuesdays with Zoya, etc) that I just could not wait to finally try this brand!!  I really love looking at other ladies' blogs because that's how I find jewels among gazillion of polishes out there, and also that's how I discover new brands of nail polish!!  This one was no different.  I discovered the brand Cirque through Rie's blog (Nails and Noms).  They looked so gorgeous that I ended up getting 5 colors from this new company and today I'm showing you the first one, Cirque Vaudeville!

I'm not all that great with color descriptions, but this one looks to me like a dusty lilac/lavender with all kinds of golden/green shimmer/microglitter.  At first sight it looks just like your average neutral but it becomes a lot more interesting at second glimpse because of the unique combination of the shimmer.

Formula was not too bad.  I managed to cover up the whole nail in 2 coats.  What you see below is 3 coats because I wanted more saturation, covered with Seche topcoat.

I'm not too crazy about these pictures, I really don't think they do this polish justice, especially the closeup ones.  I didn't have a chance to photograph in daylight, so all these are under OttLite.  I will do my best to take some more shots later on in the sun and hopefully I'll be able to capture the beautiful shimmer!  In the meanwhile, you can check out Rie's pictures here, which in my opinion, reflect the complexity of this polish a lot better!

weird angle, I know, but wanted to show you all the shimmer!

Vaudeville is part of Circque 2012 Dark Horse Collection and can be purchased directly from this website for $12/bottle.  Annie Pham is the magical creator of these colors, and I gotta tell you, she does know how to make her customers happy!!  She shipped off the package the same day, and she wrapped each bottle individually in black decorative tissue and a plastic bag for additional protection.  I can't wait to try out the rest of the polishes from this collection!!
Annie also sells her polishes at a booth at Hester Street Fair in NYC and you can look up all the dates she will be there at Gotham Polish's post here.

What do you think of this color?  Will you be trying it out or you like to stick to your good 'ol tried out brands?
Stay tuned for better (hopefully!) pictures later on today!!

Edit:  I took pictures below in natural light and I think they reflect the true color of this beauty a lot better!!  I got so many compliments on this polish today!!  It's truly mesmerizing!!
