Comparison: Zoya "Wednesday" vs other turquoise polishes

Hey girlies!

Just like I thought, it turned out that I had many similar colors to Zoya Wednesday.  As my hubby stated, "they are all the same," but what do guys know, right!  As I will show you, they are all different!! (at least different from Zoya)

I found 6 different nail polishes in my collection that I thought were somewhat similar to Zoya Wednesday.  For different pics of "Wednesday" check out my original post here.

First up for comparison is China Glaze "Aquadelic".  It also took 2 coats for full opacity, and it is also a creme.  Main difference between the two is that "Aquadelic" is lighter than Zoya and it's not as dusty.

Next I compared the staple of the nail polish collectors, China Glaze "For Audrey".  Also a creme and a 2 coater.  It still turned out to be lighter in color than "Wednesday" and a little more dusty than ChG "Aquadelic."

OPI "Mermaid's Tears" was my next comparison.  A 2-coater, and also pretty dusty, just like Zoya.  However, Zoya's hue was a lot deeper with more blue undertones.

Next I reached for OPI "Hey! Get In Lime!".  Just on the side, this was one of my lemmings and after having tried it out I totally regret I ever got it!!  Formula on this was runny and it took 4 coats for full opacity.  It's still a pretty color, but not worth the money I paid for it...  Anyway, OPI is also dusty in hue, but a lot lighter than Zoya.  Sorry for the creases on OPI swatches, stupid thing didn't dry fast enough.. Gah!

Then I compared Finger Paints "Tiffany Imposter."  As with all Finger Paints polishes, formula was a dream and covered the nail in perfect quick 2 coats.  Even though it was dusty, it turned out to be lighter and having more blue undertones than "Wednesday."

Finally, I reached for Orly "Ancient Jade."  This one was also a 2 coater and not a close match to "Wednesday;" it turned out to have a lot more green undertones.

As it turns out, Zoya Wednesday stands on its own among all the turquoise beauties in my stash!!  It is definitely a keeper!!

Hope you liked today's comparison!  As usual, let me know if you'd like to see this polish compared to anything else!

  5. don't you just love how comparing them makes each colour look slightly different than it does on it's own ? I can't believe how DARK Wednesday looks next to Aquadelic. Great post x
