Hi girlies!!
Are you ready for more of the same??? Art theme and Finger Paints!!! No, no, don't hot that 'x' button in the right upper corner yet!!! At least today's choice are ALL available for purchase, and I've got some nail art for you!! (As I should anyway given its an ART theme haha)
Today's post features three different polishes: Finger Paints "Where Art Renoir," Finger Paints "Brilliant Brushstroke," and Finger Paints "Be A Pal-ette."
I wish I could take credit for this creation, but I pulled another Monkey-See-Monkey-Do!! This time the victim is Jess of LuvMyLacquer!! She doesn't even know of my existence but I've been stalking her blog for a while now and I just can't get enough!! I really cannot wait until her new baby Gabby is old enough so Jess has a minute or two to post her manicures again!!! ;)))
First I used nail polish that I just picked up a couple days ago (BOGO sale!!!), Where Art Renoir. It's a black base with all kinds of white glitter!! It literally looks light a really dark but clear night sky. It is so so beautiful and I'm really glad I became its new owner!! I used two thin coats but one thick one would have been plenty too.
Then I divided up my nails into three parts using small pieces of striping tape. I alternated between two colors: Brilliant Brushstroke and Be A Pal-ette.
Brilliant Brushstroke is a warm cherry red with some golden shimmer. It covered up the black "Renoir" in one coat. Be A Pal-ette is a medium hue purple with lots of silvery, reddish and blue shimmer. Also one coat over Renoir.
I wish I would have used all these three colors separately instead of layering the last two over black. I think they would have been a lot more true to their color. One day I'll have to use them on their own. Also, I don't think the contrast between the black and purple is striking enough, so the choice of colors here probably could have been a little different... Next time :)
As I mentioned above, all three polishes are available for purchase!! They're all part of permanent stock of Finger Paints and can be bought at any Sally Beauty Supply store or online.
What do you guys think of my NOtD? I hope you have a wonderful Saturday!!! :))
