Hi girlies!!
I know it sounds crazy but it's so good to be working a regular day!! no overtime, no long hours, I can just go home at normal hour and sit at my desk to do my nails like a normal junkie should!! =))
Today's polish of the day is Finger Paints "Yes, You Can-Vas" sponged with Finger Paints "Purple Palette". I tell ya, I am completely smitten with this look!!! I just can't get enough of it!!
First I applied 3 thin coats of Yes You Can-Vas. I absolutely adore this polish!!! It's a magenta-purple base with all kinds of multicolor shimmer, primarily pink and blue with some red, purple and gold on top of it. It is absolutely stunning!!! If you thought SpaRitual "Shooting Star" from my previous post was pretty, think of this as "Shooting Star" on a good dose of steroids!!! I can't believe I let this beauty sit on my shelf untried for so long!!!
Formula on this was just a tad thin, although it didn't give me any problems.
Since I have so many "Art" related polishes (to go with my Art theme!) I decided to use another one and sponged Purple Palette on tips of my nails. This time I did it right: I wet the makeup sponge first and gently squeezed the water out and then dipped it in a little pool of polish on plastic bag. The water in the sponge prevented it from soaking up the polish and I got a beautiful gradient-like glitter tips!!!
Aaaaah, I just can't get enough of this!!!!
I'm not really sure what collections these polishes are from, but one of them, Purple Palette is in permanent line of Finger Paints available for purchase at Sally Beauty Supply. Yes You Can-Vas unfortunately seems like it was a limited edition =(( So sorry if I created a lemming!
What do you guys think? Do you like glitter sponged tips? Please let me know if you'd like me to compare these polishes to anything I have!!
Have a wonderful Wednesday and thank you for visiting!!
Very pretty))
ReplyDeleteThanks Natalia!!! :))
DeleteThat gradient is perfect! Such a great match with the colors :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Helena!!! I had a feeling these two would go well together!
DeleteWow - that magenta purple base colour is intense. I love it. I have been really slow to try the sponged gradient trend but seeing this combo really makes me want to try. :) xx
ReplyDeleteI've been slow too (obviously LOL), this is my first try, and I gotta say that I will be trying this a lot more!!! It's so easy!!
DeleteThis is sooo gorgeous! And the combo is just perfection!
ReplyDeleteOh you're so kind Amy, thank you so much!!
DeleteI love the gradient technique...I spent the whole time thinking it was done with the brush, so I'm surprised to see it done that way!! But it looks great! I really want to try that technique with some of my glitters, but I'm super nervous. I'm a newbie to the polish world so I don't have very many skills or colors yet!! :)
ReplyDeleteHayley, I still consider myself a newbie!! There are lots of great tutorials out there and I take my inspiration from other bloggers. You should just dive into it!! The worst that van happen is that it doesn't look good so you just take it off with a swipe of acetone.. But you might just create something spectacular!!!
DeletePiekne, to cieniowanie brokatem dodaje trójwymiarowości :) <3
ReplyDeleteDziekuje Ci, kochana, bardzo sie ciesze ze Ci sie podoba!! :))
Deleteoooooooooh I love it!! I haven't tried sponging any glitter yet. I admit I'm scared to death from it... but this is gorgeous!!!!
ReplyDeleteNo way!!! Jin, I tell you, if *I* can do it, anybody can!!! It is soooo easy!!! And damn, if you can create such a perfect water marble as you did, you'll be rocking this!!!
DeleteOh, this is very pretty chickie!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Debbie!! :))
DeleteOoopsie!! I think I just commented on Jin's blog for your gorgeous polish!! Lol. I love, love this!! Such a pretty shimmer. It kind of reminds me a little of their new Plum Startled just released. It seems to be the same hue! It looks gorgeous on you. Love that added shimmer from the sponged glitter.
ReplyDeleteYou know, Plum Startled is a polish I thought of too when I put this on, but Plum is a little darker!!! I will do a comparison for you though. Sorry Ive been so bad about comparisons, I've just been so busy lately!!!
DeleteGorgeous duo, Gosia! Such amazing purples!? You may have just sold me on my first Finger Paints.
ReplyDeleteOoohhhh you sooo should get a Finger Paints polish!!! In fact they have a BOGO sale going on right now!!! You won't be sorry!!!
DeleteThis is so stunning! I am in love!
