It's soooo late at night as I'm writing this and I really should be in bed. So no stories for today, I will just jump right into the polish!
Today's 'artistic' polishes are OPI "Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not" and Finger Paints "Silver Sculpture".
Shamelessly I based this manicure on Marta's of ChitChat Nails! She always has such beautiful manis and they're always work appropriate!! Always so immaculate and elegant!! She has been one of my biggest inspirations, and I have learned so much from her!! And today I'm pulling a Monkey-See-Monkey-Do on her!!
For my dark base I used Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not. I'm not always too crazy about purples, and when I started applying it, I didn't like it at first... until I put on a second coat!! This polish is gorgeous!!! It's a darker/dusty purple with subtle magenta shimmer. It kinda reminds me of SpaRitual "Shooting Star", so I'll have to do a comparison! Like I mentioned above, 2 coats of very nice formula to reach opacity.
Then I added Silver Sculpture to two of my fingers. As you can see, I effed it up, I didn't mean to cover up almost my whole index finger! oh well. Silver Sculpture is a one coater pinkish-lavender with good amount of frostiness and brush-strokiness to it. I don't love it. It's going to my sell/swap bin! Although the formula was awesome! =)
Then, like Marta, I added some Born Pretty Store glequins along the border lines. Have I mentioned I love these things???? Glequins and rhinestones!!! Just can't get enough!! =)
Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not was part of OPI's La Collection De France released in fall 2008 and can be purchased from Amazon or eBay.
Silver Sculpture is part of permanent stock of Finger Paints and can be purchased for $5.29 or $4.29 (Beauty Card holders) at Sally Beauty Supply stores or online.
I know Marta's mani looks a lot more 'polished' but I hope you like mine anyway!! After all, practice makes perfect, right!!!
