Where In The World: ISRAEL

Hi girlies!

Today's travels (in the Where In The World challenge) are taking us to Israel.  This post is very special to me!!  A few months ago a red-headed girl started frequently commenting on my blog.  So I checked out her blog.  I instantly became a follower for her beautiful manis!!!

I'm talking about Jin, known to you as JinJit of Superficially Colorful.  Jin and I have been emailing each other at least once a day for the last couple months!!  I always look forward to new email from her, it never dails to brighten up my day!!  She knows some of my deepest secrets =))  and I feel that she truly is my BFF in this crazy internet world!!

What does Jin have to do with today's post you say?  Well Jin is from Israel.  I don't speak or write a word in Hebrew, but I tracked down a Jewish colleague at work and asked him to write the word "female friend" for me.  Because Jin is such a fabulous friend, I decided to dedicate Israel post to her!!  This is for your girlie!!!  Thank you for being such an awesome, awesome friend!!!

First I wanted to represent part of Israeli flag so I started with China Glaze "White On White" all over the nail.  After it dried I painted blue stripes on each side of the nail using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "Blue It." (freehanded, I know, it shows!).  Then I painted the word 'friend' using a nail art brush and black nail polish.  A word to Jin and other Jewish girls...  like I mentioned above, I don't speak a word of Hebrew!!!  So I really hope that that friend of mine didn't tell me a word for 'ass' or something stupid like that!!  And even he did tell me the true word, I'm really sorry if I mocked it up by my painting!!!  I hope you like it anyway =))

So this is my Israel mani!  And since I used blue, it can also pass for Monday Blues... right?  RIGHT?? =)  well if not, then check out these entries!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!! =)

I haven't done my Israel nail yet but I do have an idea too. Guess I'm already falling behind on the challenge. Hope I catch up!

  4. One of the persons I admire most in the world is an 82 year old lady who lives in Tel Aviv and is a holocast survivor and was also a childhood friend to my aunts. So your mani for today is something that I would do for her. I think you did great :)
