Where In The World: POLAND

It's time to do some traveling again!!!

Today's country is very dear to my heart. I was born there and raised until I was almost 16 years old. I spent all my childhood there, had many many friends and also my first kiss!! Haha :))
It's a beautiful, beautiful country that holds vast forests, murky blue sea and my favorite: the mountains. Ladies and girls (and maybe some gents too??) I present to you my interpretation of my fatherland: Poland!!

First I used China Glaze "Snow", 2 coats of pure snow-white, great formula polish, on my accent finger and on my thumb.  On the remaining three fingernails I used Finger Paints "Primary Color" (a dupe for Cult Nails "Evil Queen"), perfect one-two coater red.

Then I taped off parts of the 'red' fingernails with striping tape and added white accents with some dots over it.  The white and red colors are representing the Polish flag.

And then on my white fingernails I added some freehanded letters, Po and Ra.  If you're chemistry-savvy you've probably recognized that these two stand for Polonium and Radium.  They were isolated by the Polish woman Maria Sklodowska-Curie, who was later rewarded with the Nobel Prize for these discoveries (source)

The sculpture I'm holding in these last couple pictures is a tree made of wire and amber, the natural resin jewel Poland is known for.  The tree was given to me by my late-grandma, and the script under it says 'Tree of Luck/Prosperity".

I'm very proud to be of Polish heritage!!!
I hope you guys liked my Poland interpretation!!   Thanks so much for reading!! =)

I'm glad you shared about your Polish heritage. I knew you were Polish but didn't know you lived so much of your life over there. We were almost neighbors for a while!
