Monday Blues: Deceptive Galahad

Hi ladies!

Happy Monday!!  How was your weekend?  I can't complain.. I had the whole house to myself since my hubby's away for work and I did completely nothing for 2 days...  what a great feeling!!! =)

I'm starting a new theme this week (from my Personal Theme Challenge) which will last for the next 2 weeks, and it's Mythical.  I'm quite excited about this one, I've got some nice colors lined up!!

For today's Monday Blues I have for you a-England "Galahad".  In the Arthurian legend, Sir Galahad was one of the Knights of the Round Table and one of the three achievers of the Holy Grail.  He is renowned for his gallantry and purity (source).  Well... I might have taken a little of that away from him by layering one of the new Deceptive toppers, Cult Nails "Deception" all over him!!  Check out more pictures after the jump!

Galahad is a one-of-a-kind blue, medium hue with just a hint of green undertones.  It's a creme and it took 2 coats for full opacity.  It seems that the brush was scooping out a lot of polish from the bottle, so be careful not to put too much on your nail.  I have the most problems with applying cremes as they're not as forgiving in mistakes as shimmers or glitters.  Two coats leveled themselves out to perfection though!
On my accent nails and thumbs I applied two coats (nice formula as well) of China Glaze "White On White", a white creme as the name indicates.

Then I applied one coat of Cult Nails "Deception" to the blue nails and one coat of Cult Nails "Doppelganger" to the white nails.
Deception has just a slightly yellowish base which didn't work out very well with my white accent nails.  The base is filled with gorgeous pink/magenta shimmer.  It is so beautiful!!!  I don't own Rescue Beauty Lounge "Aqua Lily" so someone out there who has it tell me:  is it similar to this combo???
I applied Doppelganger to my white nails because of its clear/milky base with multicolor glitter.  This topper on top of white literally looks like snow glistening in artificial light.  It's so beautiful!!!  Unfortunately my camera didn't capture the beauty of "Doppelganger" at all!! =(((  So just take my word for it...

Then I decided to stamp a flowery design on my white nails.  I chose plate BM-318 and China Glaze "Adore."  I really really want "Aqua Lily" by RBL so maybe that's why I chose this flower design?

Galahad is part of The Mythical collection by a-England (how appropriate for my theme!!!) and can be purchased at the a-England website as well as Llarowe.
Deception and Doppelganger are the newest Deceptive Toppers from Cult Nails and are available for purchase at Cult Nails website.
Or!!!
Deception can also be yours if you're lucky to win one of the prizes of my ongoing giveaway!!!  Have you entered yet????

  1. I love everything about this post! Of course I love Galahad and that top coat makes it even better. I was actually talking about this legend with my mom a few days ago and she told me about Galahad cause I really didn't know who he was. Then I asked her about Elaine cause I wanna wear that soon and have no idea who she was in the legend. But she didn't know. I guess I should google this. If you post more a-englands in this theme I'm looking forward to finding out more about the legend.
Oh and the accent nail is just gorgeous! And fits so well in the manicure.
