Thirsty Thursdays: Dead Pirate Seaspray cocktail

Well hello there!!

Ready for another delicious cocktail?  It's that day of the week again!!
Today's happy hour features the Dead Pirate Seaspray cocktail, inspired by China Glaze "Sea Spray"!  And I didn't stop there, I also used Cover Band "Sticks 'n Stones".  Tell me what you think about this one!

First I applied Sea Spray to all my nails.  It started out somewhat streaky but it leveled out after 2 coats.  This color can be best described as a heavily greyed out baby blue with some pearly shimmer.  I normally don't care for greys, but I absolutely love this one!!  It must be that little addition of blue, and the shimmer of course, that makes it such a winner for me!

Then I added 1-2 coats of Sticks 'n Stones.  I was soooo lemming after this one, and I finally got it!!  I love love love it!!!  For those of you who are unfamiliar, it is a mixture of black hexagonal (small and bigger),round and square glitter together with the same amount of white glitter equivalent.  In addition, there is some white and black bar glitter; all of this mixed in clear base.  I believe this one is very close to Lynderella's "Connect the Dots"?  In any case, application was great, and I could easily manipulate the brush to move around the different glitters if I wanted to change up the concentration of one type of glitter over another on my nails.  In addition it had a very sparse microglitter, further adding to its awesomeness!!

Well... I thought this is the best invention ever... not so much with my hubby and my colleagues!!  I showed it to my hubs first and he just made this face that said it all: "WTH is this and why are you wearing it???"  He even compared it to a crackle!!!  Now I know he's a dude and doesn't know much but that is just blasphemy!!!
And then I went to work and I got all kinds of weird looks... you know, people just don't appreciate 'modern' nail polish!!!  They're all stuck in the good 'ol classic French look (not funky, just your normal French) and reds!  blaaah!!!

Well, I love it.  What do you all think??

Sea Spray is part of China Glaze Anchors Away collection released in Spring 2011.
Sticks 'n Stones can be purchased through Ninja Polish!

Now it's time for some deliciousness!!
