How is your week going?? I'm so glad it's Wednesday already!! not exactly a hump day for me since I'm working on Saturday, but it's always better than a Monday!!
Today's travels take me (and you!) to Hungary! Never been to this country but I do know one thing about it... see if you can figure it out from the first picture and regardless, read more after the jump!!!
For base color I used China Glaze "Igniting Love", one of the newest additions to my collection. I am so glad China Glaze has come out with bright colors this winter!! Igniting Love is a perfect two-coat red with just a slight hint of pink. It's so bright and beautiful!! I'm a sucker for reds and I totally love this one =)
Then I used China Glaze "Get Carried Away" over all but my accent nail. It's a multitude of different sized glitters in a clear/blackish base. I noticed silver and rose-colored hexagonal glitter (the green in my pictures is just a reflection of my green wall, sorry about that!), silver and black microglitter, and black bar glitter. The picture below shows two coats over "Igniting Love". I've read some reviews out there that complain about the formula on this one.. I didn't really have any problems with it! I gotta say, I can't quite decide how I feel about this polish; I've just never been exposed to glitter like this. It's always been just one type of microglitter. Anyway, check out my pics to form your own opinion =)
For the following picture I added one more coat of Get Carried Away, to cover up the red. I also drew something on my accent nail that would represent Hungary. What is it you say? No, it's not a machete... it's not a cucumber... it's not even a shiny penis!!! Anybody, anybody??
It's a hot pepper!!... you know, spicy food in Hungary?? You're so welcome for showing you my awesome freehanding skills again!!! =)) Actually that black glitter came in handy since it sorta reminds me of all kinds of spices and herbs that would go into making Hungarian food!!
I drew the so-called pepper using China Glaze "Cherish" and "Glittering Garland" and a touch of a brown nail art pen.
Well there you have it, my awful picture of Hungary... so sorry to all the Hungarian girls for mocking up your manicure... I just cannot draw for shit!! And I don't have a stamping plate with peppers... =((
Both, Igniting Love and Get Carried Away are part of China Glaze Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away collection that has started popping up in all the stores that carry China Glaze.
What do you guys think of these polishes?? Something you will want to try? Do you like multi-sized glitters?
Thanks so much for visiting and reading!! Stay tuned for comparisons of "Igniting Love" to 4 other polishes!
