Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Hi beauties!!

VOTE NOW!!!!  ------>>>>>>>>>

I didn't post yesterday because I worked in the morning, and when I got home I finally caught up on the comments on my blog and your blogs, and then after the marathon of "Sex and the City" (again!) I promptly passed out.

Here's what I meant to post:

Thanks to my enabler from Israel (yes, Jin, I'm looking at you!!!!) who constantly posts polishes I end up lemming after, I picked up some colors from the new indie brand, Chirality.  Amanda, the creator of its brand, has a powerful story behind the reason for releasing this polish.  She's a cancer survivor which makes her automatically close to my heart since I work with so many cancer patients.  Also, as I'm a science geek, the name of the brand is an automatic win for me!!  You can read more about her on her bigcartel site here.

Anyway, for today's (or yesterday's?) mani I chose to use Chirality "The Symbiote", combined with Essie "Dive Bar" and some snowflakes.  I'm really trying to summon that damn snow!!!  I miss it!!!

The Symbiote is a greyed out black holographic polish that takes two coats to achieve opacity.  I normally don't care much for any kind of grey polish, but the addition of the (linear) rainbows makes it oh-so interesting!!  It's not your boring grey anymore, it's a dancing grey!!!  I absolutely love it!!!

I added on French tips using the guides and Essie "Dive Bar", a blackened teal shimmer that covered up my base with one thick coat.  It looked really pretty in this little strip of polish, so I will definitely have to try it out on its own!

Next I proceeded with stamping of identical snowflakes on all my nails using Konad white polish and the Gals plate GA-41.  I wanted to point out that you can see the polish lifting off my nail on my index finger, but that's only because I used a shitty basecoat a night before (I painted with Chirality last night and then passed out right after Samantha reconciled with Richard... My poor hubby, endured all 3 episodes of my fav show with me!!!).  So I wouldn't judge the longevity of Chirality based on my pictures =)

The Symbiote can be purchased from Chirality BigCartel site for $7/full bottle or $4/mini bottle.
Dive Bar was part of Essie New Year's Eve Metallics collection released in 2011.

What do you think of Chirality?  Are you ever more inclined to purchase a polish because the name or the designer's personal story appeals to you?
And - snow gods, are you listening??  Bring me some snow!!!!!

Have a wonderful weekend, girlies!!  Thanks so much for reading =)
