My goodness, how I would love to go to South Africa!!! My mom is actually getting ready to go in March and I'm sooo jealous!!! If it weren't for that stupid mountain of mine next year I would totally jump into her suitcase... or would actually got my own ticket =)
Today's journey takes us to South Africa. When I think of this country, the Kruger park immediately comes to mind. My Tanzanian safari was one of the best trips of my life, and I would sure love to experience it again at Kruger park! My nails today are based on some of the animals that can be found there.
First I painted all but one of my fingernails with OPI "Don't Pretzel My Buttons", a perfect nude that covered completely in 2 coats. My index finger has 2 coats of my go-to white, OPI "Alpine Snow".
Then I stamped all my nails to show different animals. My index finger has a zebra stamp taken from Gals plate GA-32 and done with Finger Paints "Black Expressionism". My middle and ring fingernails show a giraffe design from BM-313 and using Finger Paints "Artist's Inspiration". Finally, my pinky nail has a cheetah design from BM-222 and again, Finger Paints "Black Expressionism".
The giraffe I'm holding in my hand is a really thin and really long wooden giraffe that I got as a souvenir in Tanzania!
I sponged each fingernail with white OPI "Alpine Snow" and stamped animals at the bottom. The antelope and elephant are from GA-32 plate, and the giraffe and the ostrich from GA-46. Now if only I was able to stamp them on straight and not amputate giraffe's leg, this mani would actually be one of my best!!!
I guess I still really like it despite the stamping mistakes. I hope you do too!!
Here are some pictures from my own safari trip, I thought the little animals were the cutest!!!
