Comparison: China Glaze "Split Perso-Nail-Ity" vs OPI, Orly, Sinful Colors

Hi loves!!

Aaaah I've been a bad bad blogger...  With all the chocolate martinis and new colorful liquid crack I've been getting and then getting high on polish fumes I totally forgot to do comparisons!!!  and here you are, good patient souls, waiting for me to get off my lazy ass to compare some polishes for you...  next time please just slap me upside my head to get me out of the trance!!!

Today I'll compare China Glaze "Split Perso-Nail-Ity", one of the Tranzitions polishes, to the other ones that I thought were similar in my stash.  Since this polish has two different colors depending on the presence of topcoat, I accordingly did two comparisons for you!  Check them out after the jump!

P.S. Please ignore my pinky nail... it broke =(  wuaah!

First comparison, naturally, is the one without topcoat (on "Split Perso-Nail-Ity" only.  Others may or may not have topcoat).

First I compared OPI "Sparrow Me the Drama".  This one is more of a bubble gum pink color, and not as lilac as China Glaze.  2-3 coats.

Next one was Orly "Not So Dusty Rose".  This one is a dusty pink but again, not as lilac as China Glaze.  It also has a slight shimmer as opposed to creme China Glaze.  2 coats for this one.

I figured that I gotta have something in my stash that is a little more lilac.  So naturally, OPI "Done Out in Deco" came to mind!  This one in turn, had too much lilac and not as much pink as China Glaze.  2 easy coats.

So as you can see, no dupes here!! (at least in my stash)

Now it's time to see if "Split Perso-Nail-Ity" with a thick layer of topcoat has any look-alikes!!  Oh, and let me just say here that topcoat does NOT make this polish uniform!!!  It's not streaky, but it's extremely difficult to achieve color that would look the same throughout the whole nail.  That being said, check out my comparisons!

First up was Sinful Color "Outrages".  It turned out to be not as purple as China Glaze.  1-2 coats for this one.

Next one up was OPI "Pamplona Purple".  This one in turn turned out to be more purple and less pink than China Glaze! 2 coats.

Finally, I compared OPI "No Spain No Gain".  This one is most similar to "Split Perso-Nail-Ity" but it was still a little more dusty purple than China Glaze.  2 coats.

So no dupes with the topcoat version either!!

I hope this was helpful!!  See ya soon with more comparisons of the Tranzitions polishes!!

  1. hmm... No dupes in here at all!
Thankfully - no "NEED" either :-D
