Hi girls!
Holy crap am I sore today. That's what I get for not working out for ions!! Even Advil is not touching that... gah!
Anyways, enough with complaining! Today's challenge calls for color opposites. I looked at the color wheel and the only opposite colors that appealed to me were a combo of yellow and purple. Check out below what I used to achieve this!
I started out with 2 patchy but self leveling coats of Finger Paints "Lemon Sour" (doesn't that sound like a drink???), a pale yellow creme.
My accent finger took 1 perfect coat of a-England "Elaine", a dark purple creme.
You know I wouldn't leave it ungarnished so here it is, stamped with "Elaine" (so awesome for stamping!!) and using plate RA-106. I don't really have a good yellow stamping polish so I used yellow rhinestones instead on my ring finger. I think I like this look better anyway!!
Lemon Sour is part of Finger Paints Gumdrops and Lollipops collection released at spring of 2012.
Elaine is part of a-England Mythicals collection released last year as well.
My hubs said that my nails look 'Italian'. I can totally see why with the grape design!! I actually got a rare nod from him! wohoo!!! LOL
I hope you like them too!!! Check out what the other ladies came up with for today's challenge!!
Wow what a gorgeous combo. I love the mixture of stamping and rhinestones :). Great to know that a-England is good for stamping xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much sweet Lou =)
DeleteGreat combo! Elaine is a polish that I actually haven't seen before.
ReplyDeleteThanks Helena!! I"m not quite even sure why I got it but now that I have it and tried it, I quite like it!
DeleteElaine looks very different polished or stamped! Color opposites is a tough subject but you managed very well! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Mati!!! It was very tough, I didn't want it to look gawdy!
DeleteWow, that is such a pretty mani. Love it. Kisses.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Roxana!!! =)
DeleteI love Elaine so much! Haven't tried it for stamping yet but I will. And I love the combo of yellow and purple a lot!
ReplyDeleteBtw, I finally ordered some rhinestones from Ebay. I got all sorts of shapes and colors (round, squares, triangles and so on). I just have to wait for them to show up in a few weeks.
Love this mani!!
ReplyDeleteOh thank God it’s Thursday-almost Friday too! You win for best nail art!

I don't really know why this mani of yours makes me wanna sing - but it does.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it so much!! I love this color combo, i love your stamping - something in those grapes make them look 3D. Maybe it's just cause they are so near the stones but I am so going to try that too soon!
And try to avoid Advil. It ruins the liver :-(
And stop whining. Run over here and let's have cake party!
