Where In the World: MADAGASCAR

Hi girls!

How is your Sunday going?  I'm just sitting here and doing my nails.. and I love it!!! =)

Today's travels are taking us to Madagascar.  Now, this is the country I've had the most trouble with coming with something interesting...  When I think of Madagascar, I naturally think of that animated movie of animals who escaped the island.  I wanted to do something different, so I've done more research and came up with an idea!  Read on to find out what inspired my mani!

First, I started with the base of OPI "You're Such a  BudaPest", a cream periwinkle blue with just a slightest silvery shimmer.  It's very faint but can be visible when looked at very closely.  Formula was a little streaky but it leveled out with second coat.

I painted two coats of Misa "Forbidden Lust", a gorgeous purple loaded with lighter purple shimmer.  Perfect formula to this one!

Next I proceeded to sponge China Glaze "Lemon Fizz" over the "BudaPest", and OPI "Dress to Empress" on top of that.  Once the nails were dry I stamped a tree from the Winstonia W-102 plate on all of my nails.  Black didn't look particularly good on Misa so I re-stamped the tree using Orly "Shine".

You're Such a BudaPest is part of OPI Euro Centrale collection released for spring of 2013.  It can be currently purchased at all OPI retailers.
Forbidden Lust is part of Misa Poisoned Passion released in fall of 2008.

And here's the picture I based my mani on!

Hope you liked my Madagascar mani!!
